My Love Affair…

No I’m not talking about my boyfriend, husband or significant other.  I’m talking about my computer.  Last month, I loved how I could edit, print, and check my bank balance with the touch of a button.  But that love affair has gone down the toilet along with my bank balance.
1 hour with my internet provider, 2 calls to Toshiba, 2 visits to a computer store, 1 computer person coming to my home,1 purchase of a new computer—and still I am no further than I was a 2 weeks ago.
Right now I’m waiting for the phone to ring to find out if my ‘new’ computer is ready to be picked up with all the virus protection a woman can buy.  Hey, you need all do the protection you can get now-a-days. 😉

Computers.  Don’t ya just love ‘em? 🙂

  2. Boy do I relate! As you know, I can’t make it through an hour with my laptop battery, and since the unit was old, I figured I deserved to get a new one. It came on Monday and didn’t work. And I let Dell talk me into waiting for a replacement…and then I simmered. They called again yesterday to tell me it would be another 10 days. And still it took a while for me to lose my cool. The man on the other end of the phone asked what he could do to put a smile on my face, and I told him to call me when he figured out how and hung up. Then at 7:00A.M. this morning, I get a phone call: my computer will be here today. What happened to the ten days? What will I be getting? How?

  3. Thanks, guys.

Judi, I’m sorry to here about your lack of a battery. Sometimes I wonder if we’d be better off without the things, but then I think of pounding on a typwriter and I quickly change my mind!

Oh, I never got that call yesterday to tell me my new computer was ready. Why am I not surprised? 🙂
